About the Data

This report is based on the arrest data from the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) database maintained by the Metropolitan Police Department. The data reflects arrests made by all agencies in the District of Columbia. MPD makes over 90% of the arrests in the District. Adult data may include Title 16 cases. One person may be booked on more than one arrest charge. 2010 values represent year-to-date information.
