DDOT Public Space Permits

DDOT's purpose is to enhance the quality of life for District residents and visitors by ensuring that people, goods, and information move efficiently and safely, with minimal adverse impacts on residents and the environment. DDOT has management and oversight responsibility for the use and occupancy of the public space. In compliance with DC Law, DDOT requires a permit when an individual, group or business intends to occupy, construct and/or install in or on publicly owned property between the property lines of a street, park, or other public property. These permits are tracked at the District and ward level. This report is updated weekly.
